How to make a game with AI.
Four steps. You can start today.
Step 1
Start tiny
Pick one idea you can explain in a sentence. One screen, one thing to do. "Jump over the spikes" beats "open-world RPG."
Step 2
Pick your tool
Want to play something tonight? Use a browser game maker. Want to sell it on Steam or phones? Use a free engine like Godot or Unity with an AI coding agent like Claude Code or Codex.
Step 3
Ask for one change, then play
Tell the AI one thing to add, then play it. If something feels wrong, ask for a fix. Small steps keep the game working.
Step 4
Show people early
Post a playable build in the Discord. Fix the top thing people mention. Then do it again.
